CBS O&O in Miami (WFOR) is looking for a dynamic Multi-Skilled Journalist to join our team. The MSJ will have a passion for original storytelling, bring story ideas to the table daily, and a desire to tell local stories that matter in fast-paced South Florida.MSJ’s are responsible for enterprising content and executing a story from start to finish. The candidate will also have a strong on-camera presence and strong technical skills.RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and executive enterprise content on a daily basisCover breaking news when assignedShoot, write, and edit packages for daily newscastsProduce content for X, Facebook, and other social media platformsPerform other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS
Proven ability to shoot and edit broadcast quality video for linear and digital platformsMust have knowledge of Grass Valley Edius editing platform or similar platformMust have knowledge of Broadcast ENG cameras, lighting, audio and LiveUFlexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays is requiredMust be a team player who can multi-task and possess the ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlinesMust have a valid driver’s license and clean driving recordJournalism degree is preferred
