The ideal candidate is highly skilled in all forms of print and electronic communications, with a solid background in writing and content creation. Other highly valued skills include problem-solving, time management, organization, and interpersonal relationships. Previous experience managing complex business data, inspiring people, multitasking while maintaining the integrity of the details, managing projects, and meeting deadlines is essential.Who We Are:The Hord family is in its 5th generation of family farming, with over 100 years of farming heritage. Headquartered in North Central Ohio and having satellite locations in Pennsylvania and Minnesota, Hord Farms is a pig, cow, and grain farm, striving to raise our animals with care, and utilizing modern and advanced farming practices to be efficient and sustainable.A Day in the Life:Embrace Hord culture: foster and engage others in the established Hord culture, encompassing our vision, mission, and core values.Develop and implement a communication plan, which includes brand initiatives, internal communication, and external relations; all aligning with culture and business strategy.Lead the development, distribution, and maintenance of all print and electronic communications including, but not limited to brochures, newsletters, letters, email announcements, displays, photographs, and videos.Develop and present informational materials in a variety of media, including traditional print, video, audio, and social media formats.Edit and proofread all communication materials to ensure accuracy and consistency.Plan and coordinate communication and preparation for all tour requests; notify all leaders of key event opportunities.Maintain presence on social media sites; analyze online effectiveness; suggest ideas for reaching a wider audience.Organize and maintain central library of company communications and marketing information.Manage creation and selection of photography for print and electronic communications.Support event planning through print materials for internal company events, sponsored community events, and career fairs.Assist with outreach activities and public information programs to increase brand awareness.Operate computer programs and marketing platforms used for content creation and contact management.Full-time position, 40 hours per week, travel to satellite locations as needed.What You Need:A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, agricultural business, or a related field + 5 years of relevant experience.Highly collaborative style and relationship-building skills with experience in developing and implementing communications.Excellent written, verbal, and digital communication skills, with the ability to edit content for style and clarity.Ability to manage a variety of key initiatives concurrently.High level of detail, self-motivation, and organization to achieve quality results.Ability to exercise a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism.Proven record of reliability and a desire to excel.No contact with pigs outside the Hord herd.Your Rewards:Competitive wages based on level of experience.5 personal days and 6 recognized holidays/year + vacation days available 6 months after hire.Health, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance (at less than $30/pay for our base plan).401(k) with company match.Financial planning assistance.Recruitment bonus opportunities.We look forward to talking to you more in depth about the opportunities at HORD!
