The Head of E-Commerce is part of the Company's Senior Management Team and plays a pivotal role in driving the strategic direction and growth of the company's existing online sales channels and the development of new avenues for growth. This position requires a dynamic individual with a strong mix of strategic thinking, leadership skills, and deep understanding of e-commerce marketplaces, trends and technologies. The Head of E-Commerce oversees all aspects of the e-commerce operations, from website management to customer acquisition, conversion optimization, and fulfillment. The Head of E-commerce collaborates closely with the Heads of Marketing, TapeTech and Ames Stores Group to ensure alignment with overall business objectives and to drive continuous improvement in the e-commerce function.Key Responsibilities:Strategy and Revenue Development: Develop and execute the e-commerce strategy aligned with the overall business objectives and achievement of revenue targets, identifying opportunities for growth and optimization. Own markdown and promotional strategies to maximize profits, including margin implications for inventory control and margin dilution.Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a high-performing e-commerce team, providing guidance, direction, and support to achieve departmental goals and objectives.Website Management: Oversee the management and optimization of the company's e-commerce websites, ensuring a seamless and user-friendly shopping experience. Build out new websites as necessary. Drive efficiency across all marketplace businesses (supply chain, advertising, customer Service, etc.).Digital Marketing: Develop and implement digital marketing strategies to drive qualified traffic, improve conversion rates, and increase online sales through various channels such as SEO, SEM, email marketing, and social media.Customer Experience: Work with cross-functional teams on content, web design and usability to create an optimal experience for current and prospective customers. Focus on enhancing the overall customer experience by analyzing customer behavior, feedback, and market trends to identify areas for improvement and optimization.Analytics and Reporting: Utilize data analytics and reporting tools to track key performance metrics, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions to improve e-commerce performance. Identify necessary enhancements for the eCommerce platforms to improve the customer acquisition process.Partnership Management: Collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, and partners to optimize processes, drive innovation, and ensure seamless integration of e-commerce initiatives.Demand Planning, Inventory and Fulfillment: Optimize processes for demand planning and assist with supply chain systems implementations and upgrades.
