Job SummaryAECOM is seeking a Senior Graphic Designer to assist our Design and Consulting Services Group. This position will offer flexibility for hybrid work schedules with an expectation to go into an AECOM office periodically and can be based out of Sacramento, CA, Orange, CA, Los Angeles, CA, Austin, TX, or Houston, TX.At AECOM, we’re delivering a better world. We’re one global team – 47,000 strong – driven by a common purpose to deliver a better world.Responsibilities and Duties:Leads graphics or multi-media projects for large or complex or must-win proposal/SOQs, task orders for public/Federal clients, including knowledge of SF330 responsesStrong experience and engagement with multi-BL, cross-region or geography must-win pursuitsDevelops creative custom presentations, incorporating animation, sound, or other components or liaisons with multimedia designersDesigns documents and presentations for print or digitally displayed formats, following branded templates and guidance using InDesign, Adobe Acrobat, Word, or PowerPoint as applicable to taskCreates branded and custom graphics or illustrations to support messaging and themes and identifies appropriate photography or imagery using Digital LibrariesCreates customized design of covers, tabs, and other packaging insert or wrap-arounds and works with outside vendor or internal production staffDevelops customized templates for client presentations, webinars, awards, conferences, thought leadership, and internal and external news, as requiredParticipates as part of pursuit team on planning, storyboarding/content planning and reviews (e.g. Pink and Red)Works with authors and subject experts to develop custom illustration for technical information such as process, tables, charts, or photorealistic graphics or diagramsProcesses comments and edits to graphic elements and works subject experts or authors to finalize and resolveAble to oversee and support finalization of document for production, packaging or shipping, provide coaching and support to junior designers on teamProvides technical or logistics support for presentation, video conferencing meetings, storyboarding sessions, key review meetings / final document reviewDevelops graphics that meet specified vendor requirements, which may include creation of graphic for exhibits, boards, or promotional itemsSupports teams with design for multimedia communications, such as digital/social media or client events or meetingsDemonstrates adherence to quality assurance/quality control on proposal/marketing materials, and attention to consistency and detail of their work, and work of othersDemonstrates a basic understanding of DCS marketing processes and information systems, accesses and uses digital librariesParticipates regularly in focused teams such as marketing best practices, graphics roundtable and ability to provide, receive, and apply feedbackContributes graphic design for client or market strategies and initiativesDiplomacy with peers and internal clients in handling challenging situations, ability to exercise discretion with confidential/sensitive issuesAble to lead med-smaller teams (not necessarily direct reporting)Able to lead topics for internal training content, support/mentor designers and model best practices and behaviorsAble to communicate clearly with a team, participates and lead meetings or calls and collaborate to gather inputAbout AECOMWe believe infrastructure creates opportunity for everyone. We’re one global team – 50,000 strong – driven by a common purpose to deliver a better world.Minimum RequirementsBA/BS and 4 years of relevant experience, preferably in Graphic Design or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.Preferred QualificationsProficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat) and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint and Word)Fluency in graphic design and marketing best practices, workflows, and tools, and evidence of successful collaboration and achievements. Demonstrated ability to visually convey messages, themes, and complex technical concepts that resonate with the target audienceStrong project management and organizational skills: expert multi-tasker with a demonstrated ability to prioritize and work effectively on a variety of projects concurrently in a deadline-driven environmentMeticulous attention to detail that ensures accuracy and quality control of own work and that of othersExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProficiency with collaborative tools such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, digital whiteboards, etc.Additional InformationRelocation assistance and/or per diem is not available for this position.
