Together, we are building a better tomorrow for our customers, partners, and communities.Join the Samsung family and be part of the team that’s creating a better future.Role And ResponsibilitiesSamsung mobile is looking for a competent and creative UX project manager/designer to design user interface/interaction of the mobile application on our product lineup spanning all Android OS smartphones, tablets, and wearables for major mobile carriers in North America. We communicate and cooperate with UX teams in mobile carriers and related parties, including the product design team, Research, Engineers, Marketing, Legal, and other business functions at Samsung. We propose design outputs that deftly balance tactical device-side UX implementation with big-picture strategic thinking.Responsibilities:Communicate and cooperate with other related parties, including the product design team, Research, Engineers, Marketing, Legal, and other business functions.Review UX requirements, technical standards, and analyze deltas to propose new concepts.Conduct insightful, independent research and analysis on mobile usability to propose Samsung’s product enhancement.Research usage patterns and trends for mobile devices.Conduct design sprints to propose mobile product development proposals.Utilize advanced knowledge, tools, and UX principles for delivering consumer user experience.Conduct small group usability studies and prepare analysis reports. Apply advanced knowledge of User Interface (UI) related software, architecture, and usability engineering.Skills And QualificationsBachelor’s Degree or higher in Human factors, Human-computer interactions, Interaction Design, Usability engineering, Computer Science, Psychology, Information Technology, Interaction Design.1-3 years of industry experience in the design of the interface/interaction of mobile phones or equivalent mobile media devices.Preferred SkillsHighly motivated in mobile application design and a heavy user of mobile applications.Experienced in preparing professional presentation materials.Experienced in standard rapid prototyping software such as Figma, Sketch, and ProtoPie.Working knowledge and skills in Usability Engineering.Must be highly skilled in using office wares – MS PowerPoint, Excel, Word.Must demonstrate a creative innovative approach to design.Strong time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.Effective verbal communication and listening skills.Demonstration or portfolio of wireframes/workflows of mobile user interface/interaction design required.Experienced in Android mobile design including material design preferred but not required.
