The Associate Graphic Designer works under the supervision of the Director of Design and other team members to develop innovative design solutions with high visual impact to create print and digital graphics that clearly convey client messages and meet key deadlines. This position works on a variety of products, including logo/brandmarks, print collateral, outdoor advertising, digital creative, and other visual products for clients and the agency.Essential Job DutiesLearning (15%)Participate in professional development and learning activities to continuously improve leadership, management, project management, and coding skillsRead and reflect on agency readings; connect readings to short- and long-term goals for team and agencyParticipate in agency team meetings, professional development check-ins, and other internal meetings, as neededMaintain a high level of organization for digital files and materialsGraphic Design and Layout (85%)Assist the design team in developing attractive and effective concepts, graphics, and layouts for various digital and print mediaMaintain and manage internal and external client relationshipsSupport the team in the production of design drafts and mock-ups and engage in collaborative design solutions to complex problemsSupport the management and maintenance of multiple websites, including updating WordPress core files, themes, and plugins; adding or updating email addresses; and troubleshooting hosting and domain issuesIdentify problems, research solutions, and collaborate with the team to devise plans to solve UX issuesAdhere to style standards based on client style guide and/or brandingWork closely with the Creative Projects Manager and Director of Design to develop consistent, engaging, and timely social media graphics for clientsLiaise with external printers regularly to secure printing production quotes and ensure print projects meet deliverable deadlinesProvide feedback on enhancements with the development and design teamJob RequirementsA bachelor’s or associate’s degree in Graphic Design or comparable experienceStrong written and verbal communication skillsTechnical knowledge and understanding of Adobe Creative SuiteUnderstanding of visual design elements (e.g., layout, color, typography)A keen eye for detailAbility to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environmentAbility to meet deadlines in a high-pressure environmentSelf-motivated starter, team player, and critical thinkerA healthy dose of curiosityIntrinsically motivated self-starter, team player, critical thinker, and effective communicatorAbility to prioritize given tasks and work efficiently towards completing themStrong problem solver and analytical thinker
