Founded in 1981, Abiomed has a proven track record for growth, integrity and innovation.We are looking for a senior graphic designer who will lead and coordinate several contracted design resources, continue to create the graphic design strategy, and ensure management of our brand. The graphic designer is also responsible for providing creative and execution leadership to marketing programs (campaigns, initiatives, clinical market development, sales enablement, etc.) and collaborate closely with other marketing and product leaders to ensure expansion of Abiomed’s solutions.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesCreate graphic design strategy and lead creative resource team.Create visual text and imagery concepts to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, or captivate customers and the field.Transform statistical data into visual graphics and diagrams, which can make complex ideas more accessible.Develop the overall layout and production design for advertisements (digital and print), brochures, logos, displays, imagery, advertorials, etc.Provide creative and execution leadership to marketing programs.Partner effectively with marketing managers and stakeholders to plan and execute programs.Feature new products, clinical evidence, scientific content and key messages in sales tools, collateral and digital communications.Effectively communicate Abiomed’s key messages, clinical evidence, and best practices to the field commercial organizationMaintain current and relative Branding Guidelines.Create and design various materials for print and digital collateral.Ensure projects are completed with the highest quality and on schedule.Prioritize and manage multiple projects within design specifications and budget restrictions.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:A minimum of 4 years graphic design experience as well as experience in leading design resources.Experience in medical device market environment is highly preferred.Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniquesVery strong PowerPoint skill is essential. Digital marketing experience is a plus.A bachelor's degree in graphic arts, design, communications or related field.Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print and web, illustrations, animations, and video.Illustrate concepts by designing examples of art arrangement, size, type size and style and submitting them for approval.Lead and coordinate with outside agencies, art services, web designer, marketing, printers, and colleagues as necessary.Review final layouts and suggesting improvements when necessary.Familiarity with HTML and CSS preferred.Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Sketch, and other applicable graphic design software.Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.Possess exceptional time-management and organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks through effective prioritization in order to meet tight deadlines in an environment of competing priorities.Consistently sets high goals and achieves them.Demonstrated ability to conceive, develop and implement strategies to deliver results.Ability to effectively influence and collaborate with multiple stakeholders through utilization of organizational channels, experience and influencing skills to persuade others of the course of action.Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills for a wide variety of audiences, including sales & marketing leadership.Capacity to develop strong relationships with customers, and multi-functional partners.Creative out of the box thinker who is intellectually curious.
