But you aren’t afraid to dip your toes in other areas too, as you use and develop your marketing skills. If this sounds like you, if you want to be a part of a team that drives marketing success, we’re looking for you.The day of a marketing coordinatorAs the part of a small marketing department, no two days will be exactly the same and you’ll play a role in a variety of marketing functions. But here’s an idea of how you’ll spend your time.You’ll stay on top of written content. Depending on the day or the hour, your work might include writing for print, the web, social media or other digital media. You might find yourself scripting audio or video content.You’ll get your creative juices flowing to write some ad or signage copy that makes its mark.As you go about your day, you may talk with or gather information from internal subject matter experts to produce educational content.Website content, blogs posts, resource guides, ebooks and brochure verbiage will be a part of your arsenal and may be a part of your day-to-day.You’ll exercise your planning skills, too, as you develop, maintain, modify and work from a content calendar to ensure fresh, timely and varied content.A tab of your browser will often be open to our marketing automation system as you work with the team to create email content and assist with the development of campaigns.You’ll engage with other members of the marketing team as the team brainstorms ideas and works toward creative that supports marketing strategy.Throughout the year, you’ll have days where you’re asked to contribute your creativity to assist in developing ideas for credit union events and celebrations.You’ll strive to understand Guardian audiences to create and target messaging.You’ll assist in tracking, monitoring and responding to online reviews and a variety of surveys.Part of completing a marketing project in the credit union world means understanding and seeking the appropriate compliance review. At times, you’ll be responsible for reaching out to our Compliance Department for reviews and approval.QualificationsYou have a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication or a related field OR you have at least 2 years’ experience in written content creation.Whether you have a degree or experience, you’re able to show your writing skills and knowledge of quality content.You’re familiar with a variety of types of written content and are well-versed in how they can be used to support a marketing strategy.You can communicate well with others.You can stay on your toes in a fast-paced work environment.You maintain confidentiality.You’re able to lift around 50 pounds.You have a valid driver’s license and will be able to occasionally travel between branches.We believe that the successful Marketing Coordinator will help us support the Guardian Credit Union mission of dedication to being a member’s primary financial institution by providing superior, comprehensive, courteous, and prompt service.Show your skills!Please submit at least three writing samples or the link to an online portfolio containing at least three samples of work that reflects your abilities.
