Accordingly, our staff, Board of Trustees, volunteers and donors will work together to create a more representative, equitable and inclusive KU Endowment.What we are looking for:A full-time professional position in the Communications Department responsible for assisting staff who produce a variety of print and web materials.The individual in this position is expected to embrace KU Endowment’s stated core values – passion for KU, partnership with donors, perpetual support for KU, and a people-centered approach – and demonstrate support for them through professional interactions and activities.What’s a typical day look like?Balances competing deadlines efficiently to ensure projects are completed accurately and on time.Fulfill production workload as assigned by the Senior Art Director accurately and on time.Presents and communicates design ideas, concepts, strategies, and final design decisions clearly and effectively.Designs brochures, proposals, reports, invitations, marketing materials, direct-mail pieces, newsletters, stationery and other communication materials, both print and electronic media.Puts together complete production specifications for printers and other vendors.Coordinates and supplies production elements — files, samples, reference materials, etc., as required.Maintains accurate and complete production records in Asana or other project management software as determined by the Senior Art Director.Understands and adheres to brand standards, maintaining consistency throughout each project.Assists with gathering, tagging, storing and scanning photographs for publications.Other duties as assigned by the Senior Art Director.Regular and reliable attendance is essential for this position.Performs other duties as assigned.What’s required to be considered:Requires Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Journalism or related field of study.3-5 years of relevant Graphic Design or relevant industry experience.What separates the best from the rest?Proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.Competency in Microsoft products including Word and PowerPoint.Candidates with video and/or photography experience will stand out.Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, effectively manage priorities and communicate progress.Must provide a portfolio of relevant work.Able to work cooperatively in a team environment.Must be detail-oriented and enjoy a fast-paced environment.Physical Requirements:Valid motor vehicle license.Ability to:Speak.Hear.Sit.See.Operate office equipment.Travel locally.Travel nationally.Lift up to 40 pounds.We’ve got you covered:KU Endowment offers a competitive salary with an excellent benefit package including:100% employer-paid pension plan.Health, dental, and vision insurance.401(k) and Roth 401(k) matching program.Section 125 flexible benefits.Generous paid leave including holidays, personal and sick leave.Volunteer and community engagement opportunities.Paid Parental Leave.Life, AD&D, short- and long-term disability insurance.Legal & ID Theft protection.Critical Illness.Accident and Hospital Indemnity insurance.KU education assistance.Free parking.Sounds good, right?
