Autonomous Medical Devices Incorporated (AMDI) , with its principal place of business in California, employs a world class team of engineers, scientists, clinicians, and manufacturing experts dedicated to the development and manufacture of point-of-care diagnostic devices using breakthrough microfluidics, protein engineering, and data/cloud connectivity. AMDI will launch its first products from its ISO:13485 certified 110,000 square foot facility in Santa Ana, CA.

Summary of Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative individual to join our dynamic biotech industry team. Reporting to the Vice President, Marketing, the Clinical Marketing Specialist will serve as a subject matter expert for the Clinical Marketing segment of the AMDI Commercial Group. This individual will apply scientific expertise and market research to identify key application needs and market development trends and opportunities for overall market growth while also enabling customers to accelerate their science in clinical and molecular research.

This is an onsite position located at our Santa Ana, CA office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Develop molecular testing methods/workflow for clinical research applications.

Design and complete experiments to support New Product Introduction.

Support collaborations with key stake holders and leverage data/results for marketing collateral.

Publish technical/application notes, articles, and marketing collateral.

Present methods/workflows at conferences and meetings.

Train sales and customers on our workflow and product propositioning.

Interact with commercial teams for sales support.

Serve as liaison between company and its customers.

Assist with other responsibilities and/or projects as the need arises.

Qualifications Required for Position

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, molecular biology, related science field, or equivalent.

Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in chemistry, molecular biology, or related science field. Advanced degree in related science field preferred.

Minimum 3 years of hands-on molecular testing and sample prep.

Expertise in method and applications development.

Strong knowledge of sample preparation for molecular applications.

Familiarity with clinical research industries.

Excellent written and verbal presentation skills required.

Ability to develop credibility and network with proven and positive professional relationships.

Ability to work within a highly matrixed organization with cross functional teams is essential.

Ability to pick up new technologies quickly and troubleshoot independently.

Ability to travel up to about 25% of domestic and international travel.

Work Environment

Frequent visits to both research laboratories and hospitals for customer support.

Onsite within a manufacturing, warehouse, cleanroom and BSL2 lab environment.

This position will require some work to be done in a clean room environment that is humidity controlled with clean room gowning required (Personal Protective Equipment will be required to be worn).
