General Description of Responsibilities:Working under the direction of the Director of Publicity, the Publicist helps to create and execute publicity plans for Crossway books and Bibles. They must serve Crossway authors with professionalism and a servant’s heart, representing their publications with diligence and conviction. As a public-facing member of the Crossway team, they must faithfully represent the vision, mission, and values of the company. Essential qualities of a candidate include careful attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills, and a highly collaborative personality.Specific Responsibilities:Create and execute publicity plans for select frontlist and backlist books and BiblesPitch interviews, excerpts, book reviews, and articles to specified authors and media outletsProactively foster professional relationships with new and existing authors, media outlets, endorsers, and influencersRespond in a timely manner to media inquiries, interview requests, and requests for review copies and product informationWork with authors to develop and execute influencer strategies for select books and BiblesDraft and route press materials, including press releases and interview questionsHelp to manage Crossway’s book and Bible review programsParticipate in Publicity Team and broader department meetingsAssist with author visits to Crossway as neededTravel

Visit select author and media contacts to plan product launches and maintain professional relationshipsRepresent Crossway at conferences and events as needed
