Senior Specialist – Executive Communications

GEICO’s Communications Department is seeking a strong writer and communications strategist to join the Executive Communications team. As Senior Specialist - Executive Communications, you will

be responsible for

informing, engaging, and inspiring GEICO employees a

nd

advancing

its corporate narrative across a broad spectrum of audiences

through effective, strategic executive communications. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative, dynamic environment and can adapt quickly to meet the needs of our stakeholders.

You will report to the

Director

of Executive

Communications

,

collaborating with members of the corporate communications team, as well as senior leaders across GEICO, to develop and execute a comprehensive executive communications and engagement plan

.

In this role, you

will provide strategic communications support for internal meetings and presentations, organizational announcements, social media activity, external

events

and other high-profile communications opportunities.

The ability to build strong stakeholder relationships, write clear and engaging e

xecutive

communications, and develop strategic communications plans will be essential to your success.

companies is vital to your success.Key Responsibilities

:Work

as a member of the

Executive Communications

team

to develop

and

execute

executive

communications strategies that

reinforce the company’s priorities and

progress

in support of

key

initiatives

.

Partner with members of the Executive Communications team to p

rovide strategic communications counsel to senior leaders and stakeholders.

Develop and build presentations, and write announcements, talking points, intranet content, etc., on behalf of senior leaders.

Engage regularly with internal stakeholders on agenda and content development for leadership meetings such as companywide or department-level Town Hall meetings; and support the execution of Town Hall meetings and other events.

Plan, write and manage

social media

content

that drives executive visibility and engagement, connects with a variety of external and internal stakeholders, and

supports GEICO’s corporate narrative.

Provide comprehensive support in researching, proofreading, editing, and ensuring the quality of various communications products.

Continuously measure, evaluate, and

modify

communications

plans and tactics to improve impact and effectiveness

.

Qualifications

:GEICO

seeks

an experienced,

creative

and collaborative communications professional for this role. The successful candidate will have at least

5-7

years of relevant corporate communications experience

, with

a

track record

of

working closely with C-level executives,

including

a strong focus on communicating with internal audiences

across

a variety of platforms

.Bachelor’s degree.

5+ years of

relevant communications experience at large companies with a focus on communicating to internal audiences;

demonstrated

experience working closely with C-level executives is preferred.

Exceptional communicator, able to present ideas in writing, visually, and verbally,

formally

and informally.

Versatile

writer

with strong business acumen

who can capture the unique voice

s

of a variety of leaders

.

Intermediate to advanced

PowerPoint skills and the ability to

create

and edit

executive-level presentations

.

Experience planning, writing

,

and managing social media content

.

Ability to work quickly and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while

maintaining

a high level

of precision and attention to detail

.

Proven time and project management

skills with experience managing projects spanning across multiple stakeholders.

Experience planning and supporting

large in-person, virtual and hybrid

employee

events

.

Demonstrated experience with audio/visual tools is a plus.

Comfortable working with a diverse variety of business platforms (

i.e.

email applications,

virtual

meeting applications/tools, presentation design tools

, social media platforms, etc.

)

Ability to balance independent work with team collaboration to drive projects forward.
