Live News Desk Anchor.
In addition to being an outstanding journalist with a great personality, you need to be a team leader. Our anchors are leaders who participate in the planning of our shows and produce content regularly. A competitive passion to win and openness to innovation is mandatory! Our winning candidate will be someone who embraces social media and knows how to consistently engage with the audience. Collaboration is a big part of this role!
The ideal candidate will have:Strong Leadership skillsSmooth/pleasant deliveryStrong writing skills and news judgmentSharp video shooting and editing skillsExemplary communication skillsEnergy and positivityAbility to execute during breaking news events and add contextAbility to seek and find breaking newsExpertise in producing breaking news content for audiences on multiple platformsMust be a team leader that works well with othersMust be a self-starter who can generate his or her own story ideas dailyAbility to demonstrate enterprise reporting and creativity in story-tellingAbility to work under deadline and on a flexible schedule is requiredContribute story ideas to daily editorial meetingsConduct interviews when required via phone, email, Skype, or other methodsParticipate in regular content planning meetingsPost content on assigned digital platforms dailyOther duties as assigned
Requirements and Qualifications:You must have at least 2 years of on-air experienceLive commercial television experience is a mustStrong "in-the-field and live" skillsExceptional written communications skills using a conversational writing styleStrong editorial judgment and a proven ethical foundation
