Job Summary:

The Communications Specialist/analyst is responsible for writing informative and persuasive communications, including newsletters brochures, fliers, multimedia presentations, video, and social media content. They are also responsible for developing regular content for internal and external company websites and assures accuracy and consistency in all communications and documentation.Duties and Responsibilities:Mastery in producing content with minimal directions and quick turnaround-from authoring to getting sign-off from stakeholders-for internal and external consumption that supports digital and traditional media such as newsletters, reports, fact sheets, response to social media inquiries, etc.Able to identify and model internal writing style to ensure the consistent tone of voice.Work with marketing consultant to develop and update content as neededEstablish and maintain a proactive approach to communication and providing value to internal customers.Develop/edit client-and public-facing materials to support campuses. Participate in strategic planning sessions for short- and long-term communications activities and make appropriate recommendations for content, strategy and media relations.Track and distribute written and electronic media coverage of company and company issues as necessary. Assist with communication training of other key personnel.Assist with crisis communication as necessary.Develops press materials, news, social media content. Etc.Supports internal employee communications as necessary. Provides assistance as needed in the development of employee communications for the district intranet and district newsletter.Update school website and employee intranet consistentlyEducation:

Bachelor’s Degree required.Work Experience:

At least 1 year in marketing, public relations, or related field is required. At least 1-year Experience writing professional communications, and developing written content for social media outlets.Competencies : Ability to demonstrate initiative and exercise tact in all settings. Ability to maintain confidential information and treat it accordingly. Ability to read, comprehend and write the English language effectively. Ability to effectively disseminate information before large groups in a verbal format. Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and deadlines. Ability to self-direct with limited supervision. Strong communication skills-including public speaking, writing, editing, etc. Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.Equipment Used; AdvanceMicrosoft Office, Adobe Publisher/Pro, Graphic Design, Web development. PowerPoint, Google Suite.Working/Environmental Conditions/Mental Demands/Physical Demands:Work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment which does not subject the employee to any hazardous or unpleasant elements. Ability to carry and/or lift less than 20 pounds.
