WRC Assistant DirectorMission : We use an intersectional lens to advocate for the education, empowerment, and agency of women-identified folks.Overview:

Our work is to maintain a welcoming, inclusive and informative environment for the campus community. As student employees you are often the first point of contact for visitors.Duties and Responsibilities:Identify and respond to the needs of WRC visitor by referring visitors to appropriate resources and/or performing WRC services (e.g. lactation room, lending library, communal space)Using social media marketing tools to create and maintain the center’s brand on Instagram and FacebookInteracting with constituents and other stakeholders via the center’s social media accountsAnalyzes the center’s digital marketing plan and social media strategy and identifies strategic weaknesses while noting improvement plansSet key performance indicators (KPIs) for social media campaigns, such as targets for a certain number of shares or likes and measuring a campaign’s performance against the KPIs as well as presenting this assessment during monthly social media reportsResearch social media trends and inform management of changes that are relevant to the center’s marketing activitiesBe responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling our websiteCreate website layout/user interface and Integrate data from back-end services and databases such as Word PressAttend and support assigned programming, including possible evening and/or weekend eventsAttend weekly professional and student staff meetings as well as weekly check ins with your direct supervisorQualificationsAbility to demonstrate leadership and organizational skills.Comfortable communicating and corresponding to a large network of constituentsComfortable with responding to and intervening in student crisis situations,Willingness to work with diverse and culturally pluralistic students and staffInterpersonal skills (ability to interact effectively and enthusiastically with others)Ability to develop /demonstrate cultural competenciesExperience with social justice work and/or related courseworkMust be an enrolled undergraduate studentFlexible scheduling requires a maximum of 10 hours commitment per week.Hiring ProcessApplication opens Friday, April 26thApplication closes Friday, May 10thInterviews conducted May 11-17thAnticipated start date August 26th, 2024Career Applications : Employee will gain an increased awareness and knowledge base of identity-based topics and concepts.
