Role Overview:
We are one of the only wristwatch manufacturers in the United States and are on a mission to make as much of a watch here as possible. We do things in Colorado that are typically only done in Switzerland and China, and, as Marketing Coordinator, it's your job to help us compete with the massive Swiss and Chinese manufacturers in our industry by documenting all the great things we do and sharing that content and those stories with our audience.
We have a full-time, in-house photographer and videographer, so your job will be mostly focused on editing and distributing content. However, someone with a design or content creation background is ideal as some platforms function best when the content is created in the app.You will also be responsible for email and digital marketing, so someone with experience in these skills will stand out to us. We are open to hiring someone hungry to grow and willing to learn these skills if they are great at and truly love the social media side of the role.We are looking for a team player. Someone who’s not afraid to do anything asked of them. Someone who will take it personally when they see a negative comment and make it their mission to produce such stellar content and storytelling that all we see on social media is positivity around our mission, not to mention sharable posts. Multiple years of social media management experience is required. The ideal candidate thrives in an in-person, team environment since you will work on the shop floor gathering content just as much as you’ll work in the office editing and distributing it. Another part of your role will be to connect with others in the industry as well as journalists and reporters who like to write about watches; you’ll act as our PR pitching specialist and in-house publicist.
Ideally, we’d like someone who knows about and cares about watches, so when you apply, include your story of how you got into watches and what watches you own in your application.All work is to be done in person, Monday to Friday, from 8am to 5pm at our downtown Fort Collins, Colorado location (324 Jefferson Street). Requests for relocation assistance will be considered on a case-by-case basis. All positions are salaried with benefits.The starting salary is $40,000 but is negotiable and will depend on experience. Due to Vortic’s unique business model, paid on-the-job training and apprenticeship are required for the first 3 months at a minimum regardless of experience.We offer paid time off, access to healthcare starting in 2025, access to a 401k with a 5% match after 12 months, and a bonus program based on company sales results.
