Summary

Reporting to the Brand Manager, this marketing specialist serves as an essential advertising and branding strategist for the health system. This individual serves as one of the primary holders of the relationships between the Marketing & Communications department and its creative advertising and branding agencies. The strategies created by this individual will be designed to meet key objectives for the department, such as elevating the exposure of our brand, locations and services to key audiences.

Responsibilities

Requires in-depth professional knowledge and practical/applied expertise in the advertising discipline and knowledge of related disciplines within the broader marketing field.Demonstrates awareness of the marketing, advertising and health care industries, and the factors that differentiate the organization in the market.Acts as an advertising account executive and expert for colleagues who manage the broader marketing strategies for the brand.Serves as a primary contact for the creative/advertising and branding agencies of record.Works closely with creative services, other teams within the department and agency partners in the execution and implementation of deliverables.Works independently, requires minimal guidance.Explains difficult, complex or sensitive information appropriately, works to build consensus.Effectively applies advertising expertise while communicating organizational objectives, key messages and proper positioning to achieve business objectives.Possesses excellent project management skills, thought leadership and good verbal and written communication.Builds and maintains strong, effective relationships with peers, leaders, internal and external partners.Fosters collaboration in order to gain the necessary depth and understanding required to create effective strategies.Must be able to discern when a request does not fit within a scope of work or organizational strategy/objectives.Serve as the Marketing & Communications lead for specific projects as assigned.

This is a remote position working in Texas, with the expectation to be onsite on occasion for events/activities.

JOB PROFILE

At a strategic level, this role will support the brand manager and broader brand team in all system-level brand work, including but not limited to brand awareness, brand health, fundamental brand principles (mission, vision, etc.), logo and visual identity, etc.In addition to brand strategy support, this position will be heavily involved in paid advertising plans – implementing high-level brand strategy to yield media plans, tactics and deliverables. This position requires daily account management and collaboration with a wide variety of internal department members, Children’s Health business partners and external agency partners to plan, create, revise, approve and traffic deliverables such as: print, radio, TV, paid email, native advertising and high impact digital display. The success of these strategies and tactics will be measured by key performance indicators around increasing awareness, consideration and preference.
