We connect FANS to BRANDS and are looking for a new teammate who is clever, passionate, innovative, and creative to help us deliver these one-of-a-kind experiences to our clients.Job Summary:Forty Nine Degrees is excited to add a Senior Experience Designer to our creative team! The Senior Experience Designer requires a range of skills to create elevated concept graphic and experience ideation, the experience to lead/manage the creation of production-ready art, and most importantly, the ability to deliver on the creative direction/vision of a project. An ideal candidate is a well-rounded creative person with a great aesthetic who exhibits an innate commitment towards creating innovative / immersive spaces. The primary goal of the Sr. Experience Designer is to help our clients create the most amazing spaces for their guests.Duties and Responsibilities:Work with clients and a Design Director to create a vision for each projectLead role in ideation during client meetingsConceptualize high-impact concept designsCreate and manage direction/vision for a given project(s) with the team assignedBe the art director through the production art and lead internal and external talentHave the knowledge to create and proof production-ready art filesWork alongside other designers, client service & production partnersManage him/herself to deliver multiple designs for multiple projects in a given weekClearly articulate design ideas in client-facing meetingsMaintain and strengthen primary design skills while learning and adding disciplines to your repertoire (i.e. graphic designer learning to work in space, industrial designer learning graphic design, architect learning typography)Consistently produce client-ready workQualifications:A design background with 3-5 years of design experience is requiredStrong experience/working knowledge in these disciplines: Graphic Design, Environmental/Spatial Design with the ability to effectively communicate & leadPreferred experience in and around Architecture, Industrial Design, and Exhibit DesignAbility to communicate big ideas and key themes/stories through sketching and graphicsA demonstrated working knowledge of Mac platform, Adobe Suite & SketchUPThe ability to speak in groups and be client-facing to clearly articulate design ideas is a requirementDemonstrated ability to lead and coach others to achieve team objectives is requiredKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Detail-oriented in the approach to solving problems using design thinkingInspired by the unknown; not afraid to take on new assignments that may be outside your comfort zoneA self-starter with the ability to learn quicklyProactive & anticipate client and team’s needsEffective communication skills, internal (teams, leadership) and external (vendors, clients)Be enthusiastic and have a good attitudeEmbrace changeWork Environment:New team member will be expected to join our Creative Design Team in our Columbus, Ohio Design Studio.Expected weekly hours range from 40-55+hrs per week depending on the season and current workloadsMust maintain a positive attitude and help create a working environment that is energetic, passionate, and creativeBenefits/Compensation:Competitive salary base on experience (TBD)Opportunity for annual bonuses/salary increases401KInsurance (medical, vision, dental, life)Application Requirements:Attention: Jesse Ranly, VP of Creative StrategyResumeCreative Portfolio
