Director of Marketing and Communications
Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic Marketing Director to oversee the design and publication of communications to our members, as well as create effective campaigns to attract the local community to our programs, and services including our preschool and religious school.Responsibilities:Create professional, engaging, and compelling content across print, digital, and social media platforms to promote synagogue events, programs, and initiatives.Manage the synagogue's online presence, including website content, social media channels, and email newsletters.Collaborate with synagogue leadership, staff, and volunteers to develop internal communications and external advertising campaigns.Design and produce marketing materials including the bi-monthly newsletter magazine.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or Graphic Design preferred.3+ years experience. Non-profit organization, religious institution, or community-oriented setting a plusProficiency in Adobe Suite include In-Design, Acrobat, and PhotoshopComfortable with learning new technologiesFamiliarity with social media platformsExcellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent proof reader and editor.Creative thinker with the ability to generate new ideas and solutions.Highly organized and details orientedStrong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environmentThe Marketing Director reports directly to the Executive Director.Hours: Full time (40 hrs/wk), with flexibility in hours, and availability to work from home some daysBenefits: medical insurance with 70% employer contribution.
