Our comprehensive range of products and services covers every link of the integrated supply chain – from maritime and inland terminals to marine services and industrial parks as well as technology-driven customer solutions.JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Senior Manager, Internal People Communications - Americas will play an essential role in establishing and building effective relationships and dialogue with key internal stakeholders across the region to support all people’s initiatives.

The role is focused on overseeing and leading internal communications strategies, channels, and methods that advance the People team’s internal programs and priorities across the Americas Region and create engagement with employees at all levels.Working from DP World Americas Regional Headquarters in Charlotte, NC, the Senior Manager, Internal People Communications will be part of the regional People leadership team tasked with developing strategies for the optimization of regional/country-level communications resources and vendors to align with AMR Regional and Local Communications partners.The position holder will be tasked with improving the flow of communication that is targeted to staff and partners related to people initiatives as well as measurement and KPI development to create and support a continuous improvement culture in a matrixed organization. The successful candidate will strive to update and improve the technical aspects of the region’s communications infrastructure tools, channels, and employee contact lists as well as collaborating across AMR and country-level teams on the creation of guidelines and protocols to support effective and timely communication.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESLead culture communications initiative and programs that reinforce our values, promote a positive work environment and intentional strategies to grow the employee experiencePromote DEI program & Employee Value Proposition in collaboration with regional comms teamProactive crafting of people storylines and internal thought leadership themesInitiation of coordinated internal and external employee advocacy programsA KPI based approach to promoting the DP World brand internally, building trust and protecting company reputationFoster greater collaboration between regional, country-level and Group internal communications colleagues as well as key stakeholdersOversees content production and provides leadership to develop innovative strategies for delivering effective and engaging employee communicationsSelection of appropriate activities, platforms, and toolsEnsure timeline and budget adherenceLiaising with regional and country-level senior management and the global comms teamOversees communications tools such as employee People newsletter, Intranet, memos, and other people regional channelsWork collaboratively with colleagues across the Americas region and throughout the DP World organization to ensure materials accurately reflect the company’s positioning, messaging, and strategic goalsContributes to key HR communications and is responsible for the content and writingCollaborate with social media experts across the organization to identify opportunities to raise awareness of the company’s employee value propositionResponsible for People’s leadership presentationsCollaborates with HR Leadership to support communications in developing company-wide announcements, team tools, recruiting presentations, and senior management messages that reflect the voice and values of the Leadership TeamMonitors performance against targets/KPIs on key objectivesTracks progress including engagement with key messagesSolicits feedback on communications effectiveness, measures message absorption and intranet analytics, and takes steps to adjust messages or channels as needed (e.g., focus groups and pulse checks)QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLSMinimum 8 years’ experience in a similar communications roleAbility to work full-time from the Americas HQ location with up to 25% travelBachelor’s degree in public relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or another writing-related fieldExperience with HR Communications, Employee Value Proposition Campaigns, Employee Advocacy Programs, and/or HR Transformation InitiativesOutstanding writing, editing, and proof-reading skills; with diligence and proactivity in validating factsProven communicator with demonstrated track record of creating impactful content for various communications mediums such as print, digital and social channelsExperience working with/managing internal social media is preferredA flexible individual who is willing to roll up their sleeves and get work done
