Position : Director, Marketing & Research

Status : Exempt

Reports to : Chief Marketing Officer

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Director, Marketing & Research position is responsible for developing strategies and plans to drive overall member awareness and engagement of benefits and events, developing resources and programming for clubs to deliver high levels of growth and engagement, and leading the overall research program to track member and club satisfaction and identify key insights to drive increased engagement and innovative programming and communications.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develops strategy and leads execution of all campaigns, such as benefits awareness, participation, renewal, lapsed member.

Supervise the 3 positions on the Growth team and responsible for all HR related functions (recruiting, hiring, performance management, etc.).

Tracks membership trends and makes recommendations for ensuring overall growth of NCGA membership base.

Leads the organization’s member communications to ensure members are engaged and up-to-date on critical information of NCGA benefits.

Oversees website strategy as it relates to a member and club officer engagement tools/resources.

Leads the organization’s club engagement to ensure clubs are up-to-date on critical information for running clubs.

Ensures new club on-boarding is robust and up-to-date with appropriate resources.

Ensures that a clear brand positioning exists and all programs are clearly supporting this standard.

Oversees all advertising and sponsorship partnerships and offerings and revenue management.

Oversees Club and Member research to track insights, satisfaction and trends to make recommendations for improvements.

Conducts ongoing review of what works, what doesn’t to develop best practices and future plans.

Supports safe work habits and a safe working environment at all times.

Other duties as assigned, including professional development.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing concentration

7+ years professional marketing leadership in B2C or association management

Strong marketing, strategic thinking, project management, and consumer research skills

Demonstrated ability to develop effective business strategies based on data and intuition

Experience successfully managing budgets

Demonstrated ability to manage and strengthen a brand

Experience supervising, mentoring, and leading a team to achieve an organization’s goals.

Experience implementing successful marketing campaigns

Superior project management and communication skills

Ability to analyze and integrate processes, systems, and information to deliver new solutions

Advanced knowledge of various computer software programs including Microsoft Office suite, Google Drive suite, CRM, website, and SEO

Valid US Drivers License

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience working with HubSpot

Knowledge of and passion for the game of golf (strongly preferred)

WORK SCHEDULE:

Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm, with some nights and weekends required.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

This is a full-time, Exempt position, with an expected salary in the range of $95,000-$105,000 annually. Benefit package includes health, dental and vision insurance. Dependents may be added with premiums paid by the employee. Participation in the company’s 401k plan after one full year of employment. PTO, holidays, meals, and golf benefits also included.
