Vice President, Marketing

Templeton Academy, Nashville, Tennessee, United States,

Templeton Academy is a school committed to disrupting the traditional education model by nurturing students into purpose-driven lifelong learners who use their gifts in a way that brings them joy and serves others. We accomplish this end through the three pillars of our model: 1) Core Advisory, 2) Project-based learning (PBL), and 3) Deeper Learning. Our schools serve grades 5 - 12 across two locations in Washington D.C. and Nashville, with future plans to grow to new metros.

We are seeking an innovative, entrepreneurial, and experienced marketing leader to join our team as a Vice President, Marketing who will lead the charge on Templeton Academy’s next phase of growth. You will be responsible for setting and meeting aggressive growth and admissions goals across our campuses, leading a team of Admissions Coordinators, and building TA’s growth strategy alongside key stakeholders. The VP, Marketing will report directly to Templeton Academy’s President and be based in Nashville, Tennessee.

If you consider yourself an entrepreneurial problem-solver and you are motivated by the challenge of: setting and meeting lofty goals for student enrollment, building a strong and compelling brand that is widely recognized, coaching a team of junior team members, and becoming a master networker who is energized by making meaningful local and education connections, this job might be for you. If building a growth and sales strategy for an expanding school, leading a team of high performers, finding creative new avenues for raising brand awareness, or working night or weekend events is daunting to you, this job may not be right for you.

The VP, Marketing will have four core responsibilities:

Fill Templeton Academy with students.

You will ensure an excellent and successful end-to-end admissions experience including: 1) Marketing, 2) Sales, and 3) Registration / Closing. You’ll accomplish this by leading an innovative team of Admissions Coordinators that are not satisfied with the status quo. Your team will creatively fill Templeton Academy’s schools on-time by building relationships in each geography, leveraging current families and hosting tasteful and targeted events to spread the Templeton Academy name. You’ll set and consistently meet or exceed aggressive goals for your team while creating a school admissions experience that is next to none.

Build a clear, concise and simple external brand.

Every Templeton Academy interaction should be simple, clear and curated. You’ll be responsible for ensuring Templeton Academy’s brand, voice, and visual identity are consistent across channels, including the website, social media, school guides and other online or offline forums. You’ll manage PR and communications, determining the best avenues to target Templeton Academy’s efforts.

Standardize and operationalize.

Execution, delivery and systematization will be the name of the game. You’ll constantly iterate, record and document, continually refining Templeton Academy’s approach to admissions. Your team will understand Templeton’s admissions systems and processes and they will not be satisfied until everything is replicable, refined and simple.

Effectively collaborate with key stakeholders across Operations and Academics.

You’ll be a member of a leadership team devoted to one another’s success, and you’ll be responsible for partnering effectively with your Operations and Academic counterparts to build a complete and successful end-to-end Admissions experience.

The ideal candidate for Templeton’s VP, Marketing:

Has experience working in fast-paced, start-up environments, including a proven track-record of growing an organization’s product or service beyond the start-up phase.

Holds demonstrable success at a for-profit secondary or post-secondary school, and possesses a desire to help students pursue their why earlier in life.

Is well-read and informed of the latest trends in education and understands how different schools are positioned in the market.

Must be motivated to usher in a new era of education.

Has experience leading high-performing teams.

Is a fearless networker, and has outstanding written and spoken communication skills.
