*Position Overview:* We are seeking a skilled Technical Writer to join our team at GE HealthCare. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting the Design System by collaborating closely with UI Engineers and Developers to provide comprehensive documentation on various UI components. Additionally, the Technical Writer will be responsible for creating and maintaining API documentation, ensuring clarity and usability for both onshore and offshore resources.
*Key Responsibilities:*
· Develop and maintain detailed documentation for UI components within the Design System.
· Create and update API documentation to assist developers in integrating and utilizing APIs effectively.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UI Engineers, Developers, and Product Managers, to gather information and ensure accurate documentation.
· Establish and maintain editorial guidelines to ensure consistency and quality across all documentation.
· Coordinate with both onshore and offshore teams to gather feedback and update documentation as needed.
· Work in an agile environment, ensuring documentation is kept up to date with the latest product releases and changes.
*Qualifications:*
· Proven experience as a Technical Writer, preferably within a healthcare or technology-focused environment.
· Strong understanding of UI/UX design principles and the ability to translate technical concepts into clear and concise documentation.
· Experience in creating API documentation and working closely with developers.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to work effectively with both onshore and offshore teams.
· Familiarity with editorial guidelines and best practices in technical writing.
*Preferred Qualifications:*
· Experience with Storybook, Design Systems and related tools.
· Knowledge of healthcare industry standards and regulations.
· Experience in an agile development environment.
