You will collaborate with front, middle and back office and must be competent in performing routine and non-routine activities in a fast-paced environment. As part of this role, there is a unique opportunity to design, develop and enhance new book structures that will support the growth of the South Bow Marketing team.As part of the Analytics team, you will perform one or more of the following:Accurate daily Profit/Loss reporting and in-depth analysis and commentary to managementDaily reports of the company position, credit and risk exposureFundamental analysis of supply/demand, pricing and other targeted analytics of the crude oil markets to inform trading decisionsApply your understanding of physical/financial trading as well as scheduling activity to support items listed aboveEvaluate, create, improve and maintain complex models to compile, organize and visualize large data sets to provide actionable insights and add value to trade strategiesMust be able to work in a non-regulated environment and meet/respect all compliance and Code of Business ethics requirementsMinimum QualificationsUniversity Degree or College Diploma in Engineering, Commerce, Economics, Math/Statistics or other quantitative field5-10 years of progressive experienceExperience with risk management reporting (MtM, VaR, Position Reports)Advanced computer and data modeling skills particularly with Microsoft ExcelStrong analytical skills and attention to detail including the ability to interpret and draw meaningful conclusions from information gatheredExcellent interpersonal, organizational, oral and written communication skillsSelf-starter who can work with minimal supervision and manage competing priorities under tight deadlinesProven team player and the ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationshipsPreferred QualificationsProficient in one or more programming languages (Python, SQL, R etc)Experience using data visualization programs such as Power BIWorking knowledge of the crude oil industryExperience within the energy industryAn equivalent combination of education and direct experience may be consideredTo remain competitive, support our high-performance culture and allow for more flexibility in the way we work, we offer a hybrid work model and flexible dress code for our eligible office-based workforce.About our businessSouth Bow's existing oil & liquids pipeline infrastructure connects Alberta crude oil supplies to U.S. refining markets in Illinois, Oklahoma, Texas and the U.S. Gulf Coast.
