Positions SummaryThe Gas Marketing Analyst will support Chord's Marketing entity in a variety of areas, with an emphasis on data management, analytics, accounting, and compliance related functions. Internal communication is required with various departments including Legal, Treasury, IT, Financial Reporting, and Accounting along with external communication with companies with whom Marketing transacts its business. This position is based in Houston, TX. Hybrid work schedule is an option for remote work on Mondays and Fridays. Level and salary commensurate with background and experience.Essential Job FunctionsProvide accurate and actionable insights which support marketing and trading decisionsHelp shape strategic view on regional crude and gas marketsCollaborate on monthly price forecastingRun predictive analysis to identify arbitrage opportunitiesTrack industry developments including regulations, infrastructure projects, capital plans, etcLiaison between commercial groups, Development and AccountingMonitor new well activity and development plans in coordination with the Asset Team as well as external counterpartiesMonitor third party infrastructure and capacity constraints to ensure flow assuranceProvide guidance to other marketing functions, accounting, reservoir, planning and other groups.Work cross-functionally to move necessary department projects forwardHandle other duties and projects as neededMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degreeStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsInnovative mindset, eager to learn new technologyExcellent communication skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced and fluid environment; flexible with the demands of a growing companyAbility to meet deadlinesStrong proficiency in Microsoft ExcelPreferred QualificationsFive (5) years relevant experience in oil and gas marketingNatural gas scheduling experienceExperience with EMK3 system and M-FilesEEO Statement:Chord Energy does not discriminate in employment on the basis of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy and gender identity), national origin, political affiliation, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, genetic information, age, membership in an employee organization, retaliation, parental status, military service, or other non-merit factor.
