Join SPCA Florida in making a difference as we are looking for a full-time Administrative and Marketing Coordinator. We are looking for a highly driven, detailed, and organized Coordinator to join our expanding team and help take us to the next level of excellence. This is not an entry-level position; we need someone who can hit the ground running and add value immediately.

The ideal candidate will also demonstrate passion for animal welfare, marketing, and donor connections. A highly motivated and proactive team player with an interest and passion for all facets of marketing. This person must be exceedingly well organized, flexible, and enjoy the challenges that come with a large Animal Shelter trying to save them all.

This position will also be responsible for grants and grant writing by maintaining the yearly grant proposals as well as writing, and recording with the follow through of the guidelines, deadlines and final reports.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

Independent worker with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects and switch easily between tasks.

Ability to do multiple tasks simultaneously and work in an ever-changing environment.

Proficient computer and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize Microsoft Office applications and the Internet including proficiency in Google: Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Analytics, Google Groups.

Ability to type 50-60 wpm.

Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and orally with both internal (employees) and external clients/customers, providing quality customer service with professionalism.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent interpersonal skills; attention to detail.

Problem solving skills and the ability to do basic math.

Project coordination skills, and the ability to work well with all levels of employees, as well as Board members, outside clients and vendors.

A.A. degree preferred in communications, marketing or public relations. At least 3-5 years’ recent experience in an office environment with increasing administrative responsibilities including data entry. An equivalent combination of education and experience that is determined to be directly related to the specific requirements may be substituted.

Knowledge of general office practices and procedures, including, but not limited to, receptionist and telephone techniques.

Experience (1 year minimum) in a marketing assistant/coordinator capacity.

Ability to perform clerical work with speed and accuracy, handle cash and other forms of payment.
