Assistant Designer - Apparel Industry

Assistant Designer :Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Photograph production sized art on samples for the Creative Directors to reviewPhotograph incoming development samples and send to the licensing team for reviewAssist in reviewing strike off approvals & lab dipsFill out sample tags for fit/photo samples and send out packages to buyersParticipate in research, seasonal color & fabric directionAssist in CAD sketches, cost sheets & development/production tech packsMaintain an organized work design area, show room and storage closetQualifications & Competencies:Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year college or university1-3 years direct experienceExperience in Retail or Design Internships requiredProficiency in MAC, MS office, Excel & Adobe Design programsAbility to think creatively, strategically and technicallyStrong organizational skillsAbility to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs, multi-task and prioritize responsibilitiesResourceful, hands-on and able to sense urgency
