We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced PCB Designer to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for updating an existing PCB design, ensuring high fault tolerance and efficient production processes.
Project Scope:
Design UpdatesEnhance fault tolerance to address overvoltage, reverse voltage, and overcurrent protection.Assess component lifecycle, lead times, cost, and supplier options.Optimize design for low electromagnetic interference (EMI) and effective troubleshooting.Reevaluate daughter board connection design.
DocumentationCreate detailed spec sheets and comprehensive manufacturing documentation for the board.
Qualifications & Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.Minimum of 5 years in PCB design, preferably in consumer or industrial applications.Proven track record of developing products from concept to production.Extensive experience working remotely with development and testing teams.Proficiency in Cadence OrCAD software, or capability to export designs to OrCAD X.Familiarity with programming microcontrollers in C for testing purposes.Demonstrated ability to develop comprehensive manufacturing and fabrication documentation.
