Senior PCB Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior PCB Designer to join our growing R&D Team. The position is at our facility located in San Antonio, Texas.

ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop MCU-based hardware platforms for high-volume industrial and heavy-duty automotive applicationsDesign circuit libraries for re-use across all of our product families including engine controllers, voice coil and DC motor actuators, fuel system devices, lithium-ion battery management systems (BMS) and chargers, and IoT telematics systemsOwn electrical hardware products over their entire lifecycle: initial design, prototype deployment, hardware qualification and certification, application validation, and production launchArchitect integrated product solutions that leverage the cost, complexity, and performance tradeoffs between discrete hardware components, dedicated ASICs, and embedded softwareExhibit relentless attention to detail during the product design phase to minimize the number of hardware revisions required before a successful product launchPeer review hardware designs and mentor junior electrical engineersWork independently within a small, highly technical engineering team with little supervision

Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, with 5+ Years or 7-10 years of experience in PCB design, preferably in a senior or lead role.Proven experience in designing complex multilayer PCBs.Experience with high-speed digital, analog, and mixed-signal PCB design.

Technical Skills:Expert-level proficiency in Altium Designer.

Strong capability in using Altium for schematic capture, PCB layout, and design verification.Deep understanding of PCB layout design principles, including signal integrity, power integrity, and EMI/EMC considerations.Knowledge of various PCB fabrication processes and materials.Experience with high-density interconnect (HDI) technology and advanced PCB technologies.Familiarity with simulation and analysis tools for PCB designs, especially those integrated with Altium Designer.
