PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITY Under the direction of the Director, DL Business Development accountable for management of DL Marketing to differentiate service offering within the market. This includes creating and implementing marketing plans for increasing sales of DL products and services. Responsible for successful execution of business and strategic initiatives; responsible for managing the people and financial resources; and for ongoing and sustainable improvement in the areas of customer/employee satisfaction, and process control. Directs DL Marketing team to create differentiation, drive perceived value with customers, and generate demand in the market.Responsibilities

Marketing and Communication:

Identifies competitor activities and industry trends relevant to current and future business goals and develops solutions to secure/increase market share. Delineates target markets, identifying current and future product and service needs. Analyzes market/competitor trends to support the development of marketing strategy and positioning of key products. Establishes success measures for marketing programs, monitors effectiveness, and implements changes to optimize return. Works with Business Development Director to develop and execute a market specific strategy and plans for increasing DL sales based on value proposition for market segment to generate demand, create differentiation and drive perceived value. Communicates vision and strategies within the organization, and externally.Manages Operations:

Manages day-to-day activities of marketing team, prioritizes work schedules and makes appropriate trade-offs. Leads marketing in developing sales tactics and programs to meet each unique lab's needs. Leads DL Product Managers in identifying trends and gaps for each service line and develops recommendations to create competitive edge. Leads all aspects of preparation and execution of presence in trade shows, conferences and scientific meetings, to effectively promote Diagnostic Laboratories products and services. Ensures marketing-related product launch internal/external activities are executed according to established timelines. Contributes to product development objectives and schedules for all phases of product development and introduction to market. In partnership with Corporate Marketing writes, edits, and coordinates press releases and press materials pertinent to Diagnostic Laboratories. Manages search engine optimization strategy to ensure high rankings on top three search engines. Manages web pages as primary marketing communications portal. Works with sales team to take advantage of business opportunities. Cultivates relationships with BCW scientific and medical staff.Strategic Customer Management:

Garners customer feedback and voice of customer to identify market trends, service enhancements, product positioning, and product development opportunities. Communicates regularly with Diagnostic Laboratories' key customers and prospects to develop and increase relationships. Relates understanding of customers to marketing of future product and service offerings.Financial:

Validates sales and marketing assumptions for planning purposes, including on-going assessment of progress to plan and identification of opportunities to increase revenue. Participates in the development and tracking of revenue plans. Meets or exceeds financial goals. Prepares and manages operating budget for department, including capital budget. Partners with Finance to monitor financial performance and share it with staff. Reports performance to key metrics at least monthly. Develops and manages cost and pricing models.Continuous Improvement (CI) Culture:

Leads implementation of CI methodology in department. As a change agent trained in Change Acceleration Process, leads continuous improvement to create customer value more efficiently and effectively.Manages Resources - People:

Hires, develops and retains outstanding talent. Mentors staff in career growth and personal development. Establishes clear goals and objectives for the department to meet business targets. Develops and implements metrics reflective of targets, and reviews them regularly with the team to monitor performance versus goals. Assigns ownership and holds staff accountable. Leads by example, motivates and inspires. Coordinates training of new staff, acquainting them with BCW policies, good laboratory practices, management tools, and leadership skills. Prepares and delivers performance evaluations to lab staff in partnership with the appropriate lab directory.Provides operational management and support as needed and offers recommendations for the development and improvement of operational procedures.Interacts with and maintains good working relationships with BCW departments, staff, and suppliers.Upholds the customer services standards and management philosophy of BCW.Partners in the formulation of policies, procedures, measurement tools, and long-range planning with the vice president and medical directors.Coordinates and implements special projects as assigned within specified timeframe.Represents the laboratory, Diagnostic Labs, and BCW at designated meetings.Maintains required records, reports, and files as pertains to areas of responsibility.Participates in professional activities to keep abreast of technical and legal developments in the laboratory testing field.Performs other duties as assigned.Complies with all policies and standards.Qualifications

Education:Bachelor's Degree required with emphasis in marketing, life sciences, or related field.Master's in Business Administration strongly preferred.Experience:4-6 years combined experience in sales, sales training, product marketing, project management, product development and/or launch required.Minimum of 1 year supervisory/management experience required.Experience managing multiple product lines required.Experience effectively utilizing social media to grow brand required.Demonstrated track records in establishing and growing profitable relationships with diverse range of customers through a consultative relationship-based approach required.Experience with diagnostic industry preferred.Experience working with product development/research & development teams preferred.Experience building effective relationships with physicians preferred.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Business acumen; ability to communicate a vision and implement strategies to achieve it required.Service mindset, communicating with customers directly to understand changing needs required.Strong leadership skills; demonstrated ability to manage diverse teams, to influence cross-functional teams and to lead change required.Ability to provide leadership, confirmed ability to manage and grow people required.Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills required.Creative, with "can do" attitude; innovative problem solver required.Data driven and strong analytical ability required.Knowledge of healthcare, reference laboratory and associated services required.Strong product life cycle management experience required.Entrepreneurial mindset focused on achieving goals in a rapid and cost-efficient manner required.Effective time management and organizational/prioritization skills with attention to detail; ability to manage multiple tasks at one time required.Ability to work in uncertain environments and ability to solve complex and ambiguous challenges required.Strong organizational, critical and practical thinking skills required.Proficient in the use of application software such as Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required; knowledge of Business Objects and customer relationship system preferred.Valid U.S. Driver's License and access to an insured vehicle required.Tools and Technology:Personal Computer required.#LI-HT1#LI-HybridConnect With Us!
