JupiterFIRST Church - Technical Director of AV Media and Technology

Do you have a passion for technology and a desire to ensure a seamless worship experience?

JupiterFIRST Church is seeking a skilled and motivated Technical Director to oversee and manage all aspects of our church's AV and IT technology needs throughout campus. This is a key role in supporting our vibrant worship services, events, preschool and ministries.

Responsibilities:Event Support:

Lead the technical team in ensuring the smooth execution of our Sunday service broadcasts, including streaming, sound, lighting, and video projection. Assist in setup/tear down for staging for Sunday and special events throughout campus.Technical Systems Management:

Oversee the operation, maintenance and repair of the church's sound, lighting, and broadcasting systems, internet network, computers, and other technical equipment related to IT and AV throughout campus.Technology Support:

Provide technical support for other church events on campus, including special events, bible study groups, youth group meetings, and more. This may involve setting up Zoom meetings, managing audio/visual equipment, and troubleshooting technical issues. Support preschool and Church staff with AV and IT needs throughout campus.Technology Management:

Provide or work with a provider to maintain systems including computer backups, website/domain registration and hosting, and other related items.Training & Supervision:

Train and supervise volunteers on proper use of the church's technical equipment.Budget & Inventory:

Develop and maintain a budget for the technical ministry and track inventory of all technical equipment throughout campus.Stay Current:

Stay informed about current trends and advancements in church technology and recommend improvements to the church leadership.Collaboration:

Provide support for Communications Director and Minister of Music in creating and producing content, such as video for worship, promotional and marketing efforts. Assist staff with additional assignments such as application development, maintaining a worship archive and other projects.

Qualifications:Minimum 2 years of experience in live event production, audio/visual technology, or a related field.Minimum 2 years of experience in the internet technology or related field or educational equivalent.MUST

be proficient in operating

sound systems, lighting consoles, video projection equipment, and computer software

relevant to church technology applications (e.g., ProPresenter, Zoom).Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with staff, volunteers, and church leadership.Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.A commitment to the mission and values of JupiterFIRST Church.
