How would you like to use your data science skills to help guide US space strategy into the future? We are building a space market data science team to analyze simulations of space communications, navigation, and conflict for US Space Command and US Space Force. You will be a principal in the data science team and create robust analysis pipelines. You’ll work with our high-tech customers to understand their technology, investment, performance, resilience, and policy questions and use this insight to craft high-performance analytical pipelines for use in workstation, server, and cloud (AWS) deployment environments.ResponsibilitiesSupport & integrate SWAC capability area force designs into an Integrated Force DesignRecommend, document, and maintain SWAC-derived requirementsCapture and recommend force design dependencies and opportunities (joint, intelligence community, industry, international and other government organizations)Conduct analysis to support establishing investment prioritiesConduct analysis to support establishing science and technology needsContribute to drafting of future warfighting conceptsCreate and communicate the Chief of Space Operations’ strategic-level Force Design GuidanceAssist in the set up and execution of Force Design forumsMonitor and articulate Defense Planning ScenariosIdentify joint force design drivers in the context of future warfighting concepts and scenariosSupport innovative ways to employ space capabilities in support of joint warfightingInterface with Higher Headquarters Staffs (SAF, DAF) and Field Commands (SpOC, SSC, STARCOM)QualificationsTS/SCI and Special Access eligibility (required)Strong technical background (required)10+ years space operations or space acquisition experience (required)Ability to quickly create decision quality materials for senior leadersUnderstanding complex technical issues and produce recommendations for a wide audienceCapable of applying critical thinking in complex and dynamic organizational environmentsExperience with space design and/or architecture development (desired)4+ years Joint Operational Planning / Joint integration experience (desired)5+ years of Commercial Space Advanced Development (desired)SAASS or Space Weapons School Graduate (desired)Experience with DoD, IC and Commercial Satellite systems in SCI/SAP environment (desired)Target salary range: $104,040 - $183,600. Final compensation will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to your skills, experience, education, and/or certifications.
