More about what your day-to-day may look like:Research, create, and maintain comprehensive technical product manuals, parts sales catalogs, specifications, and bulletins that are appropriate for the intended audienceWork closely with various departments to ensure finished documentation meets requirements.Develop and maintain content with a consistent format across all documentation channelsObtain a deep understanding of products and services to communicate complex product information into simple, professional, and engaging content for greatest comprehensionEvaluate current content and develop innovative approaches for improvementCreate graphics, illustrations, or photographs to elaborate on or complement technical writingCreate, adapt, and follow project schedules and deadlinesProduce electronic documentation in addition to hard copy manuals.Maintain a comprehensive library of technical terminology and documentation.Manage updates and revisions to technical documentation
QualificationsChampioning attitude regarding customer service1-3 years’ experience as an effective technical writerProven ability to quickly learn and understand complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable using text, graphics, illustrations, and photographsSuperior written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for detailStrong working knowledge of Microsoft OfficeProven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneouslyExcellent electrical and mechanical skills requiredStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsMust work well in a team environmentPrevious CAD experience a plusPrevious mechanical or electrical design experience a plus
