This position will function as a highly skilled SS3 with specific responsibilities that include:
• Primarily responsible for reviewing field collected roadway characteristics data for HPMS and MIRE Data Collection project.• Analyze, edit and update collected data.• Conduct quality control checks to ensure data accuracy• Analyzing data for trends that may affect data quality• Utilize source data such as aerial imagery, PathWeb, and street view• Adhere to agency data standards• Coordinate with vendor to identify and correct data discrepancies
Required Knowledge, Skills, Competencies:Must be knowledgeable in the English language and be able to speak clearly and understandably4-year college degree or equivalent technical studyPerform accurate data production, including reviewing data for completeness and accuracy, identifying and correcting errors or omissions in the dataStrong grasp of the fundamental principles, methods, and procedures used in data acquisition, management, analysis, and visualization in a GIS environmentAble to utilize appropriate software tools and procedures to process and analyze dataExperience working with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)Strong communication and oral and written skills. Possess strong meeting and work session skillsCan work independently and as part of a team, the ability to manage time and resources to meet assigned deadlinesHave excellent organizational skills, proven analytical, planning, problem solving, and decision-making skillsDemonstrate proven experience in troubleshooting with little supervisionDesired Qualifications:• Knowledge of transportation system (roadway attributes / network)• Experience in Roadway Data collection and processing• ESRI ArcPro• Linear Referencing Systems knowledge helpful.
