Overview:Our client, a well-established, multi-disciplinary engineering firm, is looking for a Civil Designer to join their growing team and be responsible for developing detailed site improvement drawings, maps and other drafting documentation using the latest standards. They will work in a collaborative team under direct supervision of a licensed engineer to complete both residential and commercial projects for a variety of clients.
This is a long-term, direct hire position in Vancouver, WA.
Pay range: $72K - $85K annually DOE

Responsibilities:Creating construction plans and sketches, either from initial rough designs or detailed instructions, and making any necessary revisionsProducing precise construction drawings for civil engineering projects and site enhancementsGathering and integrating data, including topographical and geological studies, into drafting documents like drawings and mapsRevising drawings based on various inputs such as field notes, red lines, and mark ups, while ensuring accuracy through data verification and quality control processesAccessing current regulatory data from different sources to confirm that drawings are updated with the latest industry standardsOffering additional engineering assistance as required, always under the direct oversight of a certified civil engineerOrganizing and managing project-related drawing files, records, and documentation, while adhering to schedules and meeting project deadlinesCollaborate with project partners
Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited program required2+ years of civil engineering design experience required, 3+ years’ experience preferredProficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D requiredEIT RequiredExperience with residential subdivision land development preferredExperience with stormwater modeling and hydrology modeling software preferredAbility to work independently or as part of a teamOutstanding verbal and written skills, and experience working with staff on all levelsExcels in advanced thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skillsSelf-motivated with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
