TCOM seeks a highly skilled and experienced Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer to join our innovative team specializing in tethered Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). The successful candidate will have at least a BS degree in Engineering and ten years of RF design experience, preferably in the aviation, defense, and/or intelligence industry.Duties/Responsibilities:The successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating with a multi-disciplined design team, including electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, systems engineers, software engineers, signal processing engineers, and scientists, to develop cutting-edge RF sensor systems. This role involves designing, building, and testing communication systems comprising RF components such as LNAs, PAs, filters, and antennas. The RF Engineer will execute RF system tests to meet customer requirements, document designs, and conduct RF characterization and measurements. A solid understanding of antenna theory, RF principles, and hands-on experience with industry-standard test equipment is essential. The candidate will also participate in business development efforts and stay updated with the latest advancements in RF technology to enhance our product competitiveness.Qualifications/RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Engineering.A minimum of 10 years of demonstrated RF design experience is required, preferably in the aviation, defense, and/or intelligence industry.Understanding and demonstrating the implementation of RF cascade analysis allows one to trade gain, noise figure, and linearity as part of system design.Experience in RF theory and the ability to apply theoretical knowledge in resolving real-world problems.Experience using standard lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, power supplies, etc.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve technical challenges.Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and present complex ideas.Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work.Active DOD Secret clearance.Benefits:We offer an excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and a generous 401(k) retirement plan.
