Our client is looking for a Mechanical Designer with strong SolidWorks experience.
Duties:Leading the design and release of mechanical projectsCreating, modifying, and updating all mechanical drawings and BOM'sAnalyzing existing designs and providing recommendations for improvementsParticipating in brainstorming and design reviewsQuoting, estimating, pricing materials, placing orders with vendorsSourcing materials and working with vendorsDelivering projects on time and within budgetWorking with shop personnel in machining product correctlyAssisting in the checking of drawings and analyzing tolerance stack-upsAssisting in developing engineering and drafting standardsIssuing and completing ECO's
RequirementsBS in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Degree is not required)10 plus years
of design experienceExperience Designing
tooling, press fits, and /or slip fitsDriven and ambitious personality with attention to detailA creative, innovative, and forward-thinking approach to engineering designExcellent problem-solving skills in a team-oriented environmentExperience with quoting and estimating is preferred
