POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Brand Director, Nestle Health Science/Vital Proteins is looking to hire a driven Associate Brand Manager for Base Business (ABM). This person will play a critical role helping the team understand the health of the business and identify opportunities for continued growth of our Core SKUs. The ABM will gain broad exposure and collaborate with all functional activities on the Vital Proteins business, such as Sales, Customer Strategy, Shopper, R&D, and other cross-functional groups, with the goal of growing and transforming the portfolio. This position will be hybrid (2 days per week in office on average) in our Fulton Market Chicago office.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Budget Management + Forecasting

Manage annual Brand/Insights budgets and PO process, collaborating with Finance partners on a routine basis around P&L management

Maintain, manage and improve a forecasting model for monthly forecasting process which informs total business demand plan

Business Planning & Performance Tracking

Act as the category subject matter expert, analyzing consumption performance data, new product performance and translating findings into actionable insights as part of Monthly Business Performance reviews presented to leadership

Monitoring trends and the competitive landscape to help identity gaps in the marketplace

Base Product Innovation/Renovation

Leadership and development of new base initiatives (flavor extension, pack size/format and margin enhancement) from discovery and ideation through commercialization using innovation stage gate process to achieve company innovation/renovation growth and profit targets

Collaborate with design and project management on packaging graphics changes

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree

MBA a bonus!

3+ years of work experience in brand marketing or related field

Branded CPG industry experience

Experience with advanced analytical tools (e.g. IRI/Nielsen)

SKILLS:

Proficient in all Microsoft Office Suite applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

Strong analytical skills and comfort level building analytical models and working with data to create actionable insights

Possess strong written and oral communication skills, enthusiasm for leadership, and ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Ability to work in ambiguity, embrace change and challenges within a fast-growing company

Effective cross-functional lead with strong leadership, communication, and influence across sales, marketing, creative, and other cross-functional teams

Strong interpersonal communication skills, organizational skills, and project management skills

True problem solver, highly collaborative, and seeks to define and improve processes and programs as you work through challenges

High attention to detail with critical thinking skills

Strong time management and organization skills, able to prioritize and manage multiple projects

Proficiency in coordinating across cross-functional teams in a variety of corporate functions including sales, operations, finance, legal, and regulatory

Motivated, energetic, and excited to learn from great leaders in the CPG industry

Passion for the health & wellness space a plus

The approximate pay range for this position is $95,000- $130,000 base. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
