We look forward to the ride with you.This is an incredible opportunity to further build the Cannondale brand in the Urban category by developing and implementing an innovative Marketing strategy. Collaborating with Product Management Development, R&D, Creative Services, Digital Marketing, Sales, external agencies and other Category Marketing Managers to champion the consumer and elevate the bond with the brand through impactful storytelling for the category, globally. This role will sit in our gorgeous Woudenberg, NL office in a hybrid (Tues-Thurs) environment.How You'll Make an Impact:Lead the development of all Cannondale Urban segment Global Marketing objectives, strategies, and tactics specifically for the annual marketing planning process. Communicate the overall strategic plan and executional elements to all global regions and balance global strategies with local marketing conditions and needs.Revitalize the Cannondale brand in Urban and build beyond product.Strategic planning and leadership of the Urban category. This means that you should own projects from beginning to end, create strategic plans, achieve buy in from stakeholders, and drive the plan from beginning to end.Champion the consumer and leverage consumer insight studies and competitive analysis to identify overall business trends, market opportunities and unique consumer needs to help guide product development and to position the product portfolio.Write clear and compelling new product marketing briefs- positioning, consumer profile, key features and benefits – that drive the creation of all Marketing communications and collateral.Utilizing the new product brief - create, develop, and measure the success of comprehensive marketing campaigns by developing marketing plans, tactics and being a decider/advisor in the creation of all marketing collateral – brochures, microsites, print and digital ads, social media plans, in-store communications etc.Assist the Creative Services team in coordinating the planning of all video and photography and video assets – including driving the scripting, shooting and editing of all product marketing videos and photography needs for each model year to provide the storytelling and video and photo assets needed for catalogs, Dealer books and websites.Develop launch strategies for the new products within the Urban and Fitness portfolio that incorporates all consumer and dealer touchpoints including: Launch presentations, videos, social media plans, ad campaigns, in-store communication and collateral.Create and manage marketing campaigns to support critical product launches in an ongoing basis, through paid advertising, social media campaigns, and creating stories and promotions.Plan and oversee the advertising and promotion activities for the brand product lines including print, electronic, social, sales collateral, etc. Maintain consistent approach across all marketing efforts and upholds brand guidelines.This position requires strong collaboration between Creative team, Digital team and Product Management, along with other functional groups.Conduct well-prepared, educational, engaging presentations for sales meetings, Urban and Fitness shows, and other events with internal and external customers. Support trade shows as needed.Ensure consistency within the Brand/Product communication for the category, in clear language that communicates the positioning, key features and benefits of the Cannondale Urban and Fitness line.Ensure alignment of marketing activities across the department by setting the standard in terms of process, data-driven and fact-based way of working.Follows internal controls and company policies as set by company and job function.What You Bring to the Table:A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing with an emphasis in Business.Must have at least 8 years of experience in marketing in the outdoor industry - with experience in the cycling industry heavily preferred.Exceptional strategy development skills coupled with very strong execution and project management skills.Leadership expertise in integrated marketing and communications, marketing, campaign strategy, program management, demand generation marketing strategies, and customer life cycle metrics.The ability to understand and appropriately apply key fundamental marketing concepts, processes and practices related to driving customer demand and motivation.An excellent team player with the ability to manage up and across to build, foster, and nurture relationships across departments.High energy; you're a can-do person who can operate in fast moving environment.Strong creative insights & organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Fluency in both Dutch & English.Must be able to travel regularly domestically and internationally approximately 20% of the time.Must have experience in the Bicycle Industry and have a strong grasp of the technical elements of Urban and Fitness cycles.Must be adaptable to unpredictable hours and work schedule.Must be comfortable with public speaking and on-camera presenting.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Project).Some of our Great Benefits:Hybrid work environment-Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday in the office.Generous Paid Time Off.Great discounts on company products.Employee Wellness Program Pon Fit.A mix of casual yet professional culture.Discount additional health insurance package.Onsite gym (Almelo and Woudenberg).Collective Labour Agreement Metalektro.Pension plan.About the organization:As a proud member of the Pon Holdings family, Cannondale benefits from the strong foundation and extensive network of one of the Netherlands' largest family-owned businesses, as well as the largest bike portfolio in the world: Pon.Bike, including brands like Gazelle, Santa Cruz, Cervélo, Kalkhoff, Focus, Urban Arrow, Veloretti and Swapfiets.
