Jackson Dawson would like to welcome the Creative Director to our team! The ideal candidate can lead a crew from an overarching strategic and operational standpoint, while keeping the various stakeholders in the production funnel up to date. This position will need to travel according to the needs of the department and client requests. The position will work on-site in Dearborn, MI.Responsibilities

Provide creative ideas to producing contentActive partner on our creative team, developing unique ways to bring video production from physical to digital spacesManaging the client relationship at the senior level to ensure the highest levels of satisfaction and a strong ongoing consultative approach to all interactionDirect project and crews across various remote locations with multiple simultaneous deadlinesEnsure the Company is meeting or exceeding client expectations based on the scope of work with each specific client.Other duties as assignedQualifications

10+ years of experience in a similar industry role, plus 5+ in leadership positionsBachelor’s degreeStrong understanding of the styles and video approaches that play well on social mediaPassion for visual storytelling and elevating brands through digital mediaAbility to shoot high end contentProven ability to supervise a project individually from preproduction, to shooting, lighting, sound mixing, editing, and finishing, all on deadlineUnderstanding of media asset management best practices, software, systems, servers, etc.Ability to manage remote teamsExtensive Microsoft Office knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Superior oral and written communication skillsAbility to work well under pressure and meet deadlinesMust be flexible enough to respond positively to changes in the schedule based on the needs of the clientReasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.Technical Qualifications

Experience with ENG, multi-cam, live event production and how to properly equip eachExperience with live studio production and its workflow.Experience working with and developing a relationship with a video production team and internal IT departmentExperience with and implementing digital asset management technology. Creating a searchable catalog of all media, and making it accessible to members of the creative teamsThorough understanding of Adobe Creative Suite video production tools and leveraging its workflowsThorough understanding of all image acquisition devices, from mobile devices to GoPros to drones to 6K cinema cameras and their associated codecs.Experience with and implementing project management applications, Smartsheet, Clickup, or similarList of contacts for local and national freelance editors and video production teamsPreferred Qualifications

Experience with VFX & motion graphics workflows 3D imaging, image removal/addition, image repair.Experience with Blackmagic Design productsFamiliar with shared video storage technology and network bandwidth needsFamiliar with web-based review, approval project management tools. Experience with Frame IO and Microsoft OneDrive a plus.Familiar with remote editing and screen sharing tools. Experience with Parsec a plus.Experience with live streaming and social media platforms. YouTube, Twitch, WebEx, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, FB, Instagram, X, TikTok.Understanding of camera formats/resolutions and folder structures in relation to server data managementFamiliar with media archiving protocolsUnderstanding of cloud storage technologiesExperience with California Labor LawsExperience with SAG protocolsExperience with OEM Legal procedures and copyright lawSupports continuing education and employee professional development
