Kahala, a globally recognized leader in quick-service restaurant franchising, has an opportunity for a Field Marketing Manager to join its Marketing Team in the corporate office in Scottsdale, Arizona. Kahala franchisees and partners operate a portfolio of 27 QSR brands including Cold Stone Creamery, Blimpie, TacoTime and Pinkberry, among others, in over 20 countries around the world.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Field Marketing Manager will be responsible for supporting the Director of Marketing and Vice President of Operations with brand initiatives and projects on a national level. This position will be based out of Scottsdale, AZ and will require travel to local stores in major markets. The Manager will be in charge of local store marketing and community partner outreach within their assigned region. They will also work with multiple internal departments to implement tactics, strengthen relationships, and increase franchisee participation within existing, emerging, and new markets. The Field Marketing Manager is responsible for managing the overall flow of work that comes through from local stores and franchisees. They will provide strategic planning and execution of market and store-specific marketing tactics to build local brand awareness and customer loyalty to help increase store sales.

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Build and shape the brand perception in your assigned region.

Support both the National Marketing Manager and brand team.

Work with cross-functional teams for execution of strategic national marketing programs or partnerships laid out.

Maintain plans, timelines, and track performance metrics for multi-track projects and/or programs for regions and the brand.

Work to assist the operations field team to identify potential opportunities within stores four walls and within local communities to increase sales.

Help stores/co-ops seek out partnerships and business-to-business opportunities within communities to increase brand awareness and sales, furthering the success of local store marketing.

Run webinars, conference calls and co-op meetings, for applicable markets.

Manage co-op budgets and provide input on strategic allocations through various media outlets.

Coordinate all media buys with media agencies for co-ops.

Oversee coordination of all co-op creative needs, including local store marketing, print, direct mail, outdoor and digital media.

Drive store grand opening event planning, timelines and assist store and field teams with local execution, where applicable.

Lead new franchisees on our marketing process, resources and programs through Kahala Brands internal training program for new store owners and managers.

Write communications and rollout materials to inform internal teams and franchisees of marketing plans, campaign recaps, promotions and appropriate next steps or key learnings.

‘Work on projects as assigned’ catch all/general other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

At least 5+ years professional work experience in field marketing, within a restaurant or retail environment preferred.

Customer or client service experience.

Effective project management skills, strategic-thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Sound understanding of marketing principles and the creative process, as well as the latest technologies and how to apply them to an overall marketing plan.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present ideas and information clearly.

Ability to operate under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Precision in grammar, spelling, and syntax.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing preferred, but not required.

Public relations experience is a plus.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Travel within assigned region as needed.

Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
