As a customer experience designer, you will work with Product Managers across Commonwealth to bring all aspects of our advisors’ needs into focus on a range of digital and offline experiences. Expect to participate in all stages of delivering impactful advisor-facing solutions, from helping teams uncover insights to creating and improving concrete experiences that support Commonwealth’s indispensable service model.Key ResponsibilitiesPartner with Product Managers to understand their business goals, conduct research, ideate, and provide guidance on how to improve the advisor experience.Work with colleagues in the Product Lab to define requirements for ideal advisor solutions backed by research and aligned with business objectives.Bring the voice of the customer to the forefront with all interactions across Commonwealth to emphasize and advocate for the customer’s point of view.Use visual storytelling to communicate high-level concepts, rally the business around a vision, and make research insights actionable.Develop and support collaborative sessions, workshops, and ideation efforts to help Product Managers explore options as they work to align business goals and user needs.Craft concepts into visual assets, prototypes, guidelines, and CX specs that illustrate functionality, application, and ways the experience can benefit the user.Develop and manage reusable tools and templates that enable the Product Lab to efficiently deliver a unified, consistent, and desirable set of services to our Product Managers.Core Strengths and SkillsAdvanced understanding of user-centered design processes, product development, and design thinking techniques.Well-versed in the latest design and prototyping tools and techniques.Experience creating UX / CX deliverables (such as personas, empathy maps, journey maps, action plans, frameworks & prototypes) and a proven ability to understand which to apply and when.Comfortable working across teams to better understand complex ecosystems and diligently working to reduce ambiguity.Able to effectively execute through change, pivot, and act without having the total picture.Experience developing workshops and facilitation capabilities, including an ability to guide teams through online and in-person customer development exercises.Please note that a portfolio, case studies, or work samples must be shared as part of the interview process.About CommonwealthCommonwealth Financial Network, Member FINRA/SIPC, a Registered Investment Adviser, provides a suite of business solutions that empowers more than 2,000 independent financial advisors nationwide.
