The EHS Center THREE is one of more than 20 NIEHS Core Centers across the country and includes multiple program components with the overarching goals of growing the field of environmental health sciences research, understanding exposures and the mechanisms by which they cause disease or disability, and translation of the science to address the many environmental health issues facing Californians, with a focus on residents in northern California and in the Central and San Joaquin Valleys. The COEH at UC Davis is part of the state-legislated Northern California COEH, which brings together faculty and staff on the Davis, Berkeley, and San Francisco campuses of the University of California to educate future leaders in occupational and environmental health; develop new knowledge related to occupational and environmental health issues; and bring the resources of the University of California to people affected by health hazards in their workplaces or communities. This position will move the content out through social media, continually monitor performance of the websites, research ways to improve design elements, initiate new communication projects using multiple media platforms, and use web analytics to strategize technical approaches that maximize the reach and impact of both Centers. Under the direction of the EHSC Center THREE Director and Program Administrator and the COEH Director, the candidate will serve as liaison between each of the Centers and institutional, California, and federal sponsor public affairs/communications offices in the development of press releases and other media communications.
