Job Title: Staff Accountant
Location: Nashville, TN
Compensation: upto $75K DOE - paid overtime (time and a half) over 40 hours if needed + discretionary annual bonus and great benefits package
Requirements: Must have a Bachelors Degree in Accounting
We are one of Nashville's largest accounting, consulting and business management firms that has been around for 30+ years.
We focus primarily in the music industries with clients including entertainers, producers, publishers etc. across a number of formats including country, R&B, Christian, Rock and much more.
We are actively growing (20% growth in the last 2 years) and have an average employee tenure of 9+ years.
*you do not need to have music industry experience*
Responsibilities
Accounts payable for multiple entitiesPrepare deposits and manage accounts receivableMaintain general ledgers for multiple clientsCalculate monthly commissionsManage payroll through PaychexPrepare 1099sPrepare sales tax returns and business tax returnsPrepare tax workpapers for the tax department
Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance1 to 2 years of general ledger experience including accounts payable and journal entries is preferredKnowledge of payroll tax and sales tax is a plusStrong excel skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work calmly and effectively under pressure and prioritize workload
