Job Description
Will provide inpatient admission assessment, treatment plan, and clinical progress note documentation. develop/implement daily therapy group programing for inpatient units that includes weekend coverage. May practice with LCAT - permit under supervision by a qualified therapist. Engage with patients to provide treatment & positive hospital experience.Provide a variety of therapy sessions that engages patients and provide positive therapeutic patient experienceperform required daily group programming that meets the need of inpatient psychiatric populationPerform required assessments & clinical documentationAttend interdisciplinary treatment team meetings
Minimum Qualifications
Assignment Level I1. A valid License or Limited Permit issued by the New York State Education Department to practice as a Creative Arts Therapist. Employees working with a Limited Permit must obtainLicensure within two years from their date of appointment.
Department Preferences
Experience in inpatient psychiatry, crisis management and providing patient centered group therapy.Weekends and evenings required. Art Therapist preferred.
