Job Description

This position will work in the Office of Innovation and Technology, Unified Communications unit.

The position will report to the Unified Communications Director. This position will be instrumental in supporting and growing the video surveillance (VSS) team and programs.

The VSS team currently supports 1300+ cameras.

This number will continue to grow to support the various video surveillance programs throughout the City of Philadelphia.

The VSS IT Manager will provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly VSS reports to the UC Director, track budget spending and work directly with VSS field team.

The VSS IT manager will be the point of contact for all VSS concerns; handle escalations, attend VSS meetings, VSS projects, attend VSS Governance Board meetings.

The VSS IT Manager will engage with leadership, public safety teams, and vendors.

Essential Functions



Accomplish department objectives; planning and evaluating VSS opportunities



Engage with VSS management and field teams



Point of contact for video surveillance program and projects



Develop and coordinate policies and procedures



Maintain budget



Vendor management



Establish strategic goals by working with the VSS field managers



Attend governance board committee meetings



Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and metrics to C-Suite and Director



Engage with department leadership



Meet quarterly with VSS programs
