Wholesale Marketing Coordinator
Weyco Group, Inc., a Glendale based distributor of shoes, is seeking a full-time wholesale marketing coordinator that will assist the marketing team strategize, develop and implement all wholesale marketing activities related to Florsheim, Stacy Adams and Nunn Bush. They are looking for someone who is curious and thinks creatively when it comes to strategy and problem-solving. The wholesale marketing coordinator will work directly with the Vice President of Marketing as well as the consumer marketing team and creative team to develop brand storytelling and bring all the necessary resources together to market our products in various retail environments.
About the role:
Works with design, development and sales teams to:
Identify key trends and product stories
Develop marketing materials to help differentiate our products
Understand sales channel needs and work with retailers to market our products
Coordinate the seasonal go-to-market materials for each brand
Be a part of the seasonal sales pitch process
Works with marketing team to:
Develop key marketing materials for retailer needs
Initiate campaign creation and leverage all marketing resources needed to bring products to market
Work with the consumer marketing team to bring successful programs back to retailers
Manage wholesale marketing events, shows and sales meetings
Works with franchisees and distributors to develop regional campaigns
Reviews competitive landscape in various retail environments and reports back on initiatives found in top retailers
About you:
You’re detail oriented and interested in taking a key role in developing strategic marketing content for wholesale that fosters brand storytelling and promotes key products.
1-3 years of experience in marketing (experience with complex production schedules preferred)
You’re a self-starter with strong organizational skills and can manage projects from beginning to end
You thrive working in fast-paced and collaborative environments
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree required (Advertising, Business, Communications or Marketing preferred)
1-3 years of experience in marketing or communications related role
Essential skills and qualities:
Excellent written/verbal/presentation communication
Exceptional time-management skills
Detail oriented personality
Strong organizational skills
The ability to work independently as well as within a team
Proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs
Requires some travel for shows and visiting retailers (projected to be less than 20%)
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. for show material setup
