Job Summary:

Sugar Foods is seeking a Production Artist to support our Creative Services and Commercialization Teams across our retail, industrial and foodservice channels. This important role implements graphics direction across packaging, marketing and sales support materials that fuel our B2B communications and consumer presence. The role will require reviewing and preparing mechanical artwork for printer release, securing proof approvals, and storing files and approved artworks appropriately. Certain projects may require coordinating with customers and 3rd party graphic agencies.

The ideal candidate is technically savvy, well versed and experienced in graphic design principles and programs, with strong attention to detail and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment to meet daily deadlines.

Job Duties:• Collaborate closely with marketing, designers, and project managers to deliver packaging, POS, displays, collateral, sell sheets, mockups, and materials.• Create renderings and PDFs to facilitate review processes.• Build strong understanding of flexo, gravure and digital printing formats and translate art for various processes.• Retouch, provide clipping paths, manipulate images, and recreate existing artwork as needed.• Make various formats of supplied artwork production-ready and resolve any artwork issues that arise during production.• Oversee internal and external artwork review processes to ensure all work goes out the door error-free.• Prepare final, press-ready files based on supplied specifications for various types of printing.• Prepare images for online and mobile applications.• Maintain production files, including fonts, images, logos, and other artwork.• Follow a development timeline to ensure tasks are being completed on time.• Stay up to date with current graphic design trends, techniques, and software.• Additional duties as assigned.

Experience & Skills:• 2-3 years industry experience in print production, graphic design, or related field.• Bachelor’s Degree in design, related field or equivalent training and experience.• Able to demonstrate strong typography, layout skills, color theory and clear knowledge of various print production processes.• Exceptional communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.• Resourceful, adaptable, and a collaborative team player.• Strict attention to detail and time management.• Ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.• Outstanding organizational, project management, file organization and archiving skills• Proficient in MAC and PC, Adobe Creative Suite (PSD, AI, ID), Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)• Food packaging and marketing experience strongly preferred.• Portfolio not required but appreciated.• Candidate’s skills will be tested.• Availability to travel and visit our facilities if needed.
