About the role
We're looking for a Category Management Specialist - Telecommunications to join our growing team!
What you'll do here:
- Develop sourcing strategies for business initiatives and commodities that support overall Intact's innovation strategies.
- Leverage on effective market intelligence and cost modelling to develop and support negotiation strategies.
- Initiate/Coordinate the bidding proposal process (RFX) for high complexity and high-risk transactions/agreements.
- Establish and maintain vendor partnerships focused on total cost of ownership (TCO) and return on investment (ROI).
- Develop supplier key performance indicators (KPI) and service level agreements aimed at optimization and value creation.
- Support the implementation of procurement continuous improvement projects.
What you bring to the table:
- A minimum of 5 years of related experience in complex procurement projects and strategic sourcing.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
- Deep understanding of strategic sourcing principles and P2P processes along with the ability to apply this knowledge to execute projects and optimize strategies.
- Strong project management and communication skills.
- Strong skills in critical thinking, decision-making, problem solving, and attention to details.
- For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English speaking colleagues across the country.
- No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
