responsibilities:
Utilize CAD software (e.g., MicroStation V8i or v10, AutoCAD, Open Plant) to create and modify technical drawings and designs.
Incorporate design changes into existing plans.
Ensure designs comply with utility design and construction standards.
Analyze and interpret industry standards, maps, blueprint drawings, survey data, and project scope requirements.
Ensure accurate and effective project designs.
Work closely with internal departments to review project needs, resolve issues, and coordinate tasks.
Engage in planning, reporting, problem-solving, and ensure compliance with environmental and permitting requirements.
Skills:
General proficiency with CAD software (MicroStation V8i or v10, AutoCAD, Open Plant).
strong knowledge of utility operations and design standards.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
strong written and verbal communication skills.
Good interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
Experience in project planning, coordination, and execution.
Education and Experience:
Associate Degree in Engineering Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
4-7 years of experience in utility operations and design.
strong proficiency in CAD software.
